At this stage it's pretty much universally agreed that Overwatch is 2016's most pleasant surprise. An online shooter packed with Pixarian character designs and a story that apes Watchmen's 'retired superheroes coming back' setup, it's safe to say there's something for everyone.
But I am not everyone - instead I'm someone who's been living on Blizzard's baby constantly since launch. It's overtaken Rocket League as the go-to 'arcade game' of choice, simply because matches take about 10 minutes, and no matter whether you play one or ten in a row, you'll always come away smiling.
To that end, Overwatch is now a bonafide media sensation. Its Youtube short films total in the millions of views, each and every character has received copious amounts of fan artwork, and there are even official tie-in comics and a collectible figure lineup coming in the near future.
