5 Features GTA V Multiplayer Must Have

Looking forward to GTA V multi-player? Here's how we think it could be a success.

A lot of speculation is being thrown around about Grand Theft Auto V's single player, but not a great deal is yet being said about the multiplayer portion of the game, despite how big an innovation that it could represent for the franchise if it changes up as much as we suspect. So far, the only detail we have is that Max Payne 3's crew system will carry over, which is admittedly a big deal, but not a lot to survive on at the minute. GTA 4 multiplayer was quite successful, and still has a large audience, but there was a lot that could have gone better, and indeed there is now a huge opportunity to take what was learned in that experience to ensure that the GTA V multiplayer mode is everything that it can be. And thanks to the early buzz around the game that has built to monolithic proportions, and the wide appeal of GTA as a franchise, there is real possibility of a guaranteed, loyal audience to keep players tied to the multiplayer until the next game comes out. So with all of that in mind, and because we're convinced around these parts that GTA V is going to rule the waves as the Most Anticipated Game for the next few months, we're looking forward to what we could see in the multiplayer portion of the game. And more importantly for now, what we as fans want from the multiplayer side of play. So without further ado, let's list the 5 key things we think Rockstar must add to GTA V's multiplayer...

By this, obviously I don't mean having to sign things. Instead, it's a matter of personal choice. What we want is the option to choose your own vehicle and weapon of choice, and whenever you're online for the cool car that you picked up to be available to you every time. The player should be able to store it in a garage or pimp it out and set it as their default car, which would then be accessible all across Los Santos, and would respawn infinitely until you choose to pick a new one. The same goes for weapons. The player again should be able to pick up a sweet gun, and choose how it looks and performs. Every time you spawn in either competitive, free mode or any possible co-op modes, that weapon is the one you start with, with it being replaced any time the player chooses to pick a new weapon, with enough ammo around the maps to make sure the weapon isn't redundant after short play time.
