Dammit, Kojima.

It's not every day you come across a game story worth picking apart at all, let alone something that had so much progressive or almost precognitive thought to warrant the idea of anticipating the future.

Though, look back on gaming's madcap history and you'll see a medium rolling together every major form of creative art. From concept sketches to scriptwork, voice acting to archaeology, crafting a video game from the ground up sees all sorts of expressive ideas meshed into one. Therein comes a melting pot of potential - a smorgasbord of influences from coders, actors and directors alike, all seeking to make their own mark on a given project, occasionally planting seeds for trees we won't see for years.

Obviously there's no way to really predict the future (or is there?!) and the following games weren't actually trying to warn us of impending doom/conflict/a potato-faced chimp taking office (or were they?!), but it's damn interesting all the same.
