Batman: Arkham Knight - 5 Perfect Moments (And 5 That Sucked)

...And one that's kinda both.

Can you remember the last time a major game released and thoroughly divided gamers so much as this? Rocksteady's final instalment was always going to be met with the most passionate response possible thanks to dealing with such a rich lore and highly-regarded previous iterations, but a huge amount of Arkham Knight has got just as many people jumping for joy as it does positively seething with rage. On the one hand, you can tell through every second and every shifting polygon of animation that Rocksteady absolutely love the Batman mythos overall. It's driven them to create the best version of the character depicted in gaming history so far, all thanks to some of the most fun, unforeseeable and downright jaw-dropping plot twists and fantastic set-pieces you'll ever get to control. The problems come thereafter, as with such a high bar set in place, any jarring decisions can easily hamper the newest experience - or put people off altogether as it has here. That being said, this final entry in the canon (for now) is still a phenomenal game. It's number three on the site's Game of the Year (So Far) list for a reason, but sadly Arkham Knight tends to upend long runs of euphoric happiness with some crippling flaws right when you least expect it. Spoilers will follow.
