The Gearbox panel at PAX East this weekend has revealed truly awesome news for Borderlands 2. Lucky panel attendees got their first glimpse at a new class in concept form named the "Mechromancer" to a new class that isn't even created yet. With the positive fan reaction you can almost guarantee that they will be delivering the class sometime post-launch. Randy Pitchford gave an estimated development time of 60-90 days. That should give you plenty of time to blast your way across Pandora with each of the classes available. In addition to the new class, it was revealed that the game will now include more robust character customization options. This is extended to a new skin system and head options, which is driven by the core focus of insane amounts of loot. Different enemies and bosses will drop skins to give your characters truly unique appearances, and drives your connection to your character far past merely selecting two colors. For any vault hunters who have saves from the original Borderlands you automatically gain access to a unique skin and head set. Two alternative editions will be available of Borderlands 2, which is sure to please die hard fans. The first being the "Deluxe Vault Hunter's Edition" for $99, and the "Ultimate Loot Chest Edition" for $149. I really hope there's a dancing Claptrap inside. Sources: Kotaku & Gameinformer
