Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling announced through twitter that he would be leaving Infinity Ward and Activision. Here is his official announcement:
"Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision."
Infinity Ward statement:
"We wish Robert all the best. Thanks for everything."
Activision also provided a statement:
"We sincerely thank Robert for his many years of service. He's been a trusted and valued member of the Infinity Ward team. We wish him all the best on his decision to pursue future opportunities."
Bowling worked for Infinity Ward and had also been their community manager for a long period of time. As creative strategist Bowling was responsible for basically being the spokesman for Call of Duty. He would handle all the press releases and major announcements for the Call of Duty franchise. Bowling hasn't announced what he will be working on next but being the spokesman for the biggest video game franchise in the world will probably open some doors for him. Activision has not announced a replacement for Bowling as of yet, but it will probably do so in the very near future.
