Talk about a last minute surprise.

Now that the trophies have leaked for Crash's N. Sane Trilogy, we can now see Sony/Activision are planning a DLC pack called 'Lost Treasures'.

However, whilst many outlets stopped piecing the puzzle together right there, we've gone deeper on what little clues exist in Crash's history, to uncover something pretty special:

If you're unable to watch the video, it looks as though Activision have dug deep into Crash's 90s archives, as hardcore Bandi-fans will know about the existence of a 'beta disc' that was initially used to show off what the final first game was going to look like.

Included on this disc were a couple of levels that - although finished - never made it to market, mainly because of their difficulty. As such, they were simply never shown to the public - until now.

All we're missing is an official confirmation, but as one of the beta levels featured a prison climb where various arms would reach out from behind the bars and grab you, this literally IS the icon for one of the trophies on the game's leaked list (also seen in the above video).

"The Lost Treasures" easily mimics the 'Lost Levels' nomenclature these beta levels had, and there's even a trophy description called "Do hard time", also tying into this theme of imprisonment.

There you have it: Brand-new Naughty Dog content for this year's grand return of Crash Bandicoot.

They kept this one quiet, eh?
