Diablo 3 Beta Comes To An End On May 1st

The gates of hell are closing on May 1, in preparation to re-open on May 15. At least we'll be ready, right?

Diablo 3 is finally set to see the light of day on May 15 of this year. Let us all take a moment to reflect on the past decade, and the time it's taken to bring us to this time in our lives. While I slowly wipe the single tear from my cheek I have to type that unfortunately Blizzard's exceedingly long beta test for Diablo 3 is finally set to come to a close. This is simply in order to better prepare for the launch of the title. All of your character information and beta accounts will be reset, but this should not really be that painful, seeing as every patch released wiped your characters anyways. Throughout the course of the beta testing, those who have participated have had a significant impact on the final design of the game. All of the feedback given to the developers was taken into consideration and helped shape the game into a device for many of you to lose track of time in. If you haven't already, be sure to check out my reasons I won't be seeing sunlight when Diablo releases article, and add in a few of your own. If you must be connected for the remaining few weeks until launch, those of you with Diablo 3 pre-purchased, an active Starcraft II license, or active World of Warcraft license on their Battle.net account will be able to post on their official Diablo 3 forums.
