EA Voted The "Worst Company In America"

EA has been voted as the Worst Company In America by Consumerist readers.

A website by the name of Consumerist had a March Madness tournament contest to determine the worst company in America based on fan voting. After all the fan voting was done Electronic Arts beat out Bank of America to be called the worst company in America. Here is what the Consumerist had to say:
"After more than 250,000 votes, Consumerist readers ultimately decided that the type of greed exhibited by EA, which is supposed to be making the world a more fun place, is worse than Bank of America's avarice, which some would argue is the entire point of operating a bank,"
EA actually responded to the winning the prestigious honor by stating:
€œWe€™re sure that bank presidents, oil, tobacco and weapons companies are all relieved they weren€™t on the list this year, We€™re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.€
Unfortunately for EA all the people who they listed have already won this tournament before, "RIAA, Countrywide Financial, AIG, Comcast, and BP" all won worst company in America previous years. It was just EA's turn to win it; not to mention that I really like the argument the Consumerist makes; that EA is suppose to be making fun entertaining games but their greed is so overwhelming that it rivals that of major banks and other non entertainment corporations. Although I will say this even if EA is not the worst company in America, winning this poll will affect EA more than it will a major bank or corporation. Bank of America never would have released a statement about this poll it would not affect them in the least; but EA had a not so witty retort to the poll, showing it probably got under their skin a little which to me is a good thing. Do you agree with the poll, is EA the worst company in America or is this over the top and real life issues should push Bank of America as the worst company in America?
