ELDER SCROLLS SKYRIM Possibly Coming to Wii U

This is big news considering that we have heard nothing from Bethesda about creating games for the newly announced Nintendo Wii U; and now they are talking about bringing one of their biggest franchises to the Wii U.

Official Nintendo MagazineBethesda VP of PR and Marketing discussed the idea of Elder Scrolls Skyrim coming to the Wii U and said; "We'll see. It's definitely a possibility." However, at the same time he discussed the difficulty of bringing a game to a new console:

"It's definitely a possibility for the future. We'll look at any platform that will support that games we're trying to make, but that's the key thing - the console has to support the game as it is designed. The more changes we have to make to a game the less and less palatable it becomes because making a game is an enormous process. Just doing 360, PS3 and PC - I don't think people understand the amount of work that goes into that. All of the localisation you have to do... all of the testing you have to do... on every platform in every language... It's a pretty huge undertaking."
This is big news considering that we have heard nothing from Bethesda about creating games for the newly announced Nintendo Wii U; and now they are talking about bringing one of their biggest franchises to the Wii U. I have a feeling many of these bigger developers are taking a wait and see approach with the Wii U; I think developers like Rockstar Games and Bethesda will wait to see if the Nintendo Wii sells well before actually committing to the console. I don't see why Bethesda wouldn't bring Skyrim to the Wii U, they like making money like everybody else so as long as the system sells well (it will) then all the big franchises will appear on the Wii U.
