Far Cry 3. The video shows off what could very well be a new sense of variety in the core gameplay, and also includes the high level of immersion that the development team is attempting to accomplish. The video occurs during an undisclosed point in the game, although it would be more than safe to assume it's after everything has completely fallen apart. Our protagonist, Jason awakens, within a burning hotel building, to the sounds of Liza screaming for help. Navigating his way through the space, he relies on fairly simple environmental cues to pass through walls of fire and escape. http://youtu.be/ANCN-DLXnOE One of the most intriguing aspects of this video is that we can certainly expect a wide variety of situations like this to occur on the island. The first occured with Jason's narcotics influenced cave exploration, and now his escape from a hotel inferno further supports the notions of mission variety. Instead of merely relying on intense shootouts, Ubisoft is aiming to create a wide variety of situations that immerse the player into the role of Jason. His struggle for survival on an island in the heart of insanity, will be an experience that refuses to simply rely on shootouts, but more on each moment that aims to break his psyche. Far Cry 3 will be seeing an E3 demo this year, so be sure to stay tuned for more information!
