FIFA 19 Beta Review: 8 Hands-On Impressions You Need To Know
Is this the year EA right their wrongs?
FIFA 19 is a little under a month from its release, and while the latest instalment in EA's long-running football series looks to be offering improvements aplenty, finding consensus amongst the sport-sim's fans has proven difficult.
This has proven especially true in the wake of FIFA 19's closed beta, which ended August 20. Issues regarding the game's upcoming Career Mode were documented across various channels, and though the final instalment in The Journey has gotten plenty excited too, there is a danger that this latest FIFA debuts with a whimper, and not a bang.
With the demo set to release to the public in just a few weeks' time, and with minimal changes expected between now and then, time is running short for EA to properly address community concerns ahead of its release September 28.
Regardless of that however, it’s still clear that FIFA 19 is still FIFA - it still plays, looks and feels much like you’d expect a FIFA game to play. There are some tweaks to gameplay worth noting though, and with 19 arguably presenting a greater step-up between entries than its predecessor, it makes sense to detail all that works (and what doesn’t).
