Horizon Zero Dawn Gameplay Roundup: 11 Things You Need To Know

After literal years of hype and speculation from legions of fans, Sony have finally let the press go hands-on with Horizon Zero Dawn, allowing various outlets to capture up to four hours of gameplay each. That's resulted in a ton of footage to sift through, though in the end it does paint quite a solid picture of what Zero Dawn actually 'is', because for the longest time we've been subsisting off its gorgeous art style, snippets of gameplay and not much else.

Playing as Aloy, child of the Nora tribe, you're tasked with investigating the world around you - one that is set 1000 years in the future, where a variety of A.I. programs have repopulated the Earth. All sorts of robo-dinosaurs and creatures roam amongst the skeletal structures of what used to be towering buildings and landmarks, leaving you to survive whilst figuring out what happened to birth these machines in the first place.

Those are the broad strokes, anyway. From there, the game is a mishmash of Far Cry, Fallout, Assassin's Creed and even The Division. What does that all mean for the first original game Guerrilla have made since Killzone?
