Insider Reveals DISASTROUS Reason You Haven't Seen The PS5

Sony's apparently blown it!

By Josh Brown /

Take this one with a pinch of salt, but there have been a few reports circling the Internet suggesting that Sony is encountering a bunch of problems manufacturing the PS5. In a post picked up and shared by Windows Central journalist Daniel Rubino, who allegedly has heard similar stories from his own sources, an insider has detailed the 'struggles' Sony is facing.

Though the piece itself is rather lengthy, the crux of the matter comes down to Sony underestimating Microsoft's ambitions with the Xbox Series X and getting complacent, while at the same time making a huge error with the system's design.

Allegedly the PS5 has a major fault in that it constantly overheats and suffers hardware failures at "an alarming rate". This is down to the power of the tech not being accommodated by the design of the system itself, which has not been created to alleviate this overheating issue. Apparently the design would have to look closer to the Series X's tower, but Sony is worried about being accused of aping their competitors.

At the moment, the company is apparently suffering through a dilemma: either delay the launch of the machine and fix the issues, or release alongside Microsoft and face the backlash, releasing another model further down the line.

Again, this is only a rumour at this point, but it hardly paints a promising picture if it's true.
