Mass Effect 3 has just been released in the United States but already there is a major issue with the game. According to reports Mass Effect 3 is having trouble importing custom made Commander Shepard characters from previous Mass Effect games. Players are experiencing a range of issues, from not being able to import custom Shepards to not being able to import a character at all. It seems the problem lies with the faces not carrying over from the original Mass Effect game. People who just imported a save from Mass Effect 2 don't seem to be having the same issues; this problem seems to only be affecting people who are importing a character from Mass Effect 1 who have not changed the facial appearance of Commander Shepard since the first game. People who are having issues are prompted to recreate the face of their Commander Shepard, however this problem does not affect any of the choices you made in previous games it is only a appearance issue. EA confirmed the issue:

"An EA representative told Game Informer that the problem concerns an issue with importing a face from the first Mass Effect, and that they are looking into the situation."
So basically the problem only seems to be affecting people who have imported a character from both games, hopefully Bioware and EA will release a patch soon to fix the issue. Finally, another issue that has popped up is, if you saved your previous games to the Microsoft Cloud service you won't be able to import your character either. Are any of you having issues with importing your character or was it a smooth transition?
