It's truly an exciting time for Mass Effect fans, as although we knew going into 2016 that Bioware would start dropping more footage of Andromeda in action - hey, they've got to surmount that Mass Effect 3 negativity at some point - fans weren't expecting to learn quite so much directly through leaked information. As is always the case with things like this, there's the possibility the team are more than aware of what info is getting out there, as at the end of the day, it only serves to slowly build anticipation, easing the populace back into being excited for another Mass Effect, as oppose to them releasing multiple trailers and scattershot chunks of gameplay to convince us otherwise. That said, there's all manner of tantalising pieces of info to sift through, so let's make a start - with some actual gameplay footage...
11. First Look At How The Jetpack Could Function
Now, according to the NEOGaf poster shinobi (who so far has been a trustworthy source over the years for various games), this is actually footage of the 2014 build of MEA, but does give a solid look into how the jetpack first shown at E3 2015 will function - that being an extension of your forward-based movement. As is clearly the case from the footage, MEA started out using Mass Effect 3's engine, but Bioware have previously mentioned that Andromeda is being built using Dragon Age Inquisition/Battlefield's gorgeous Frostbite engine. The latter is a far more visually stunning piece of tech than what's seen here, as another leaked questionnaire refers to the newer build as having "cinematic quality" graphics. The full leaked video is below - for as long as it stays online, that is. Look to E3 for a more official showing of what the new Mass Effect will look like in action.
