If anyone were to ask me what my favorite video game series of all time is, I wouldn't think twice about my answer. Metal Gear Solid, to me, encompasses everything that is great about the video game industry. Hideo Kojima turned everything on its head when the original Metal Gear Solid was released for the PS1 back in 1998. Never before had anyone used the medium to tell a story in the way that Kojima did, and in my opinion no one has been able to top him in this area since. With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain hopefully not too far off in the distance, I thought this would be a great time to look back at the main entries in the series and rank them. For this post, I will only be looking at the "Hideo Kojima Game" entries, meaning Portable Ops will not be here. I will also not consider the Twin Snakes remake of the original, as so much was changed from the original that it hardly resembles Kojima's original masterpiece. Also, you will notice that I did not say I would be ranking them from "Worst to Best", or anything like that, as I don't think any of these should ever be considered "Worst" on any list. Of course, there will also be major SPOILERS throughout, so be forewarned. And now, onto the rankings...
