The NBA Finals are in the books. The Spurs are champions and we are now months away from the start of next year's NBA season. However, a new season means a new NBA2 K game. Let's begin by saying the NBA 2K series is quite possibly the best sports title out there. Stand out graphics, attention to detail and realism trump even the most ardent FIFA, Madden and other yearly released sports title fans. Double takes to make sure it's not a real basketball game are as consistent as Kevin Durant dropping free-throws. With the season finished, we can only speculate as to who will be improved and who will be demoted in next year's instalment: NBA 2K15. Here is a list of 10 players whose grade last year is due for a mighty rise given their performances last year.
10. Kawhi Leonard
How could anyone ignore the reigning Finals MVP? Leonard has been a consistent performer in his 3 years with the Spurs and is surely the future of the franchise. With Duncan, Parker and Ginobili ageing, to remain atop the extremely competitive Western Conference they will need to build around Kawhi. A modest rating of 82 in NBA2K14, the small forward is almost guaranteed to receive a ratings boost. In particular, his offensive rating (76) is sure to be upgraded given improved shooting and a higher PPG average. Though he may not currently be setting the pace of James, Durant and Anthony in his position, with a greater onus placed on his shoulders, Leonard may have a break out year in 2014-5.
