The NBA 2K series will be releasing the NBA 2K15 version of the game on October 7. The game will be released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC. It's the most complete basketball experience for any NBA fan developed by Visual Concepts. With the game specifically tailored for the Xbox One and PS4 systems, the graphics are unlike anything we've ever seen before while also including some incredible new features. Basketball fans are very familiar with the 2K series because it started back in 1999. The "2K" name was fitting for their first season because it covered the NBA in 1999-2000. Philadelphia 76ers great Allen Iverson served as the cover athlete for the first five years of the game. It started out back when the Dreamcast was a go to system, then it moved to GameCube, PS2, Xbox. By 2007 it was on PS3 and Xbox 360. Last year it debuted on the PS4 and Xbox One although it was the first year for those systems so they were still getting used to them while consumers didn't purchase them right away. Now that the PS4 and Xbox One have been out for nearly a year, the development of the game is designed specifically for them. The cover of the game features last year's Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant. It was the first year Durant won MVP, so it's fitting that he is on the cover. Last year's cover player was LeBron James, who won four MVP awards in the five previous years. It was a breakthrough season for Durant on his way to his first MVP award as well as winning his 4th NBA scoring title in a row. They definitely made the right choice in putting him on the cover. Here's a look at ten reasons why you should pick up NBA 2K15 this year.
