With WWE 2K22's release date edging ever-closer, a new trailer has been released to showcase MyGM, the game's General Manager mode.

In this mode, players will be able to take control of Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, Stephanie McMahon, the "quietly let go" Shane McMahon, or create your own GM as you look to secure supremacy for your brand of choice.

From the above trailer, players will not only be able to build their own customised roster, book matches and instigate rivalries, but your GM will also be able to get physically involved in matches.

For years, gamers have been calling for the return of some form of General Manager mode to be included in each new video game offering, and now those calls have finally been answered. Somewhat surprisingly, there has been no GM option in a WWE game for over a decade by this point, with the last GM mode being seen during the days of the SmackDown vs. Raw titles.

WWE 2K22 hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam from 11 March.

Of course, this is the first standard 2K WWE game since the dire, glitch-riddled WWE 2K20 that was so bad players were able to get refunds for the simple fact of how awful the release was. As a result, 2K Games cancelled plans for WWE 2K21 in order to focus on getting things right for 2K22. And from what we've seen so far, there's plenty to be excited about in WWE 2K22.
