Of the three console companies, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, Sonys Playstation has the best range and quality of exclusive titles. With the most impressive line-up of exclusives Sony have a few recognisable faces to headline those games. In the past few years Sony have made a good effort to get those faces even more known and recognisable through some brilliant marketing like the Michael advertisement, the Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale teasers and the new Greatness Awaits advertisement. These marketing campaigns featured live-action version of the characters at a bar discussing their adventures and then battling one another. Each video was awesome and getting to see a real version of their favourite characters is a real treat to gamers. Nintendo have the most iconic and legendary characters in all of gaming, be it Mario, Link or Donkey Kong. That being said Sony made great strides in the 7th generation to establish a plethora of exclusives for their brand to set them apart. They achieved this by having the most varied and diverse exclusives on the market, be it Resistance, inFamous or Uncharted. Each series offers something different and appeal to different areas of the market, be it the FPS fans, racing fans, families, hard-core gamers, sports fans or platform-lovers. With all these great exclusives it makes you wonder which character or series is the most recognisable or memorable. This is not a list of the biggest or most important Playstation series, if it were the answer would be Gran Turismo, the all-time best-selling PS series.
