Slant Six Games is gearing up to release a string of new Spec Ops DLC missions on April 10. The best part of the new content is that the first offering will be completely free. This free content will be released as a single-player mission that starts players as the US Spec-Ops investigating Racoon City. Their objective is to seek out, any and all, evidence of the twisted Umbrella corporation's involvement in the zombie outbreak. If they rescue a few survivors along the way too, well that's not so bad either. This should come as a big deal for those still involved with the single player, because this is the first time gamer's will be able to access the US Spec-Ops in solo play. Slant Six's small taste sets up gamers for an entire Spec-Ops campaign with six additional mission. Unfortunately, you're going to have to drop some coin on the rest of the DLC in order to get the entire experience. It's intriguing that they're offering up the first mission for free. This tactic is probably a way to hook those still playing into buying the new content with giving them a free sample. If none of this screams purchase yet, maybe the fact that you'll encounter Jill Valentine during your playthrough will. They haven't revealed at what point exactly, but you can bet it's another hook-line-n-sinker technique they're pursuing full force. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-xfmrCzRjeQ
