Resident Evil Revelations Coming To Home Consoles

Capcom have today announced that the previously 3DS exclusive Resident Evil Revelations will be coming to Playstation 3, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii U and PC on May 24th in Europe (May 21st Stateside). The game originally launched January 2012 on Nintendo€™s handheld and was praised by critics as being a return to the horror roots of the series after getting progressively more action orientated with Resident Evil 4 and 5. After the mediocre reception to the much greater hyped Resident Evil 6 which released late last year Capcom will surely be hoping that the better received Resident Evil Revelations will provide some damage control to the public€™s perception of the famous survival horror series. The updated version promises to have updated HD visuals and several other improvements including new characters, modes and weapons. It€™s not been announced if this new version will be 3D compatible, but it€™s not a far stretch considering that it started life as 3D on the Nintendo handheld. Rumours of the new version had recently been floating the internet when reports of the game€™s Xbox achievements leaked to the web. It is yet unknown if the Wii U version will have any achievement/trophy equivalent included or if Nintendo€™s home console version will more closely match the experience of the 3DS counterpart with it€™s second screen.
