Spider-Man PS4: 15 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
Does whatever a Spider can... and PLENTY more.
After what feels like a lifetime since first being announced, Spider-Man is out on PS4 and it's phenomenal. Giving God of War and Naughty Dog a run for their money in the graphics department, actually playing Insomniac's take on the web-head is a mix of physics-based swinging and Arkham-inspired combat.
They've truly gone all out, recreating what feels like a 1:1 version of New York before peppering it with random crimes, landmarks to visit, compounds to clear out and side quests to complete. Essentially, this is doing for Spidey what Arkham Asylum did Batman, except with a far more lively environment begging you to dive in.
For the story, you're playing as a career Spidey; someone who's been looking after New York for eight years, replete with various villains operating in full, a fractured MJ relationship and some surprise character roles on the good side, too.
It means the pace of the game is relentless, jostling between euphoric swinging sequences and meaningful character interactions at the drop of a hat.
You'll likely drink all this in across multiple lengthy sessions, so let's make sure you're getting the most out of it.
