Star Wars Battlefront 2: Ranking All 17 Leaked Characters

Lando vs. Bossk vs. Boba Fett - the ultimate fan showdown.

Although 2015's Star Wars Battlefront was a solid enough effort from EA, the bulk of fan complaints were pointed directly towards the title's lack of content.

And you can see why; with only six playable heroes at launch, the paltry roster of iconic characters DICE created for the first game was a gigantic step back from what fans were expecting.

With huge omissions like Chewbacca not included in the initial set of heroes, the devs and EA attempted to make the selection more substantial in the months following the title's release by dropping DLC packs full of new characters.

Unfortunately, by then it was too little, too late.

Thankfully however, the studio seems to have righted the ship with the upcoming Battlefront 2. Although only nine playable characters have been confirmed by EA so far, a recent leak has filled that number out to a solid 17.

Not only that, but it's also detailed the abilities, powers and playstyles each character will have when the game ships in November. Consequently, it's becoming increasingly clear which heroes are going to be the most popular on the battlefield come launch day, and which will be left keeping the benches warm...

17. Captain Phasma

Other than that she'll be releasing as a free DLC character around the same time as The Last Jedi, very little has been revealed about Captain Phasma's role in Battlefront 2 so far.

Even worse, because the character's only had a brief role in The Force Awakens, it isn't easy to guess what kind of abilities she may have once she's eventually added to the game.

With the amount of mobile and agile blaster-wielding heroes on the roster though, Phasma could adopt a heavier and more powerful tank role in multiplayer matches.

Instead of hopping around multiplayer matches, Phasma's blaster could be closer to an LMG, allowing her to lay down suppressing fire and cover specific areas like a walking turret. There's no way to know at this point, and the only way to find out how the character plays will be to jump into her shoes yourself when Phasma drops in December.
