Take Two has announced that The Darkness 2 has been delayed until early 2012, having originally been scheduled to be released October 4th 2011. There was no reason given for the delay, my guess would be to move it to a less crowded release schedule. This year has one of the craziest release schedules I have ever seen, in fact we came up with 16 Must Have games still to be released in 2011 alone. Moving The Darkness 2 to next year seems like a good idea from a marketing perspective. It is simply just too crowded for a game like the Darkness 2 to survive, and this delay will give the game a better shot at being successful next year.
