The next big Playstation 3 exclusive from big hitters Naughty Dog won't be hitting store shelves this year. The Last Of Us, a zombie survival game from the folks that brought us the Uncharted series, Jak and Daxter and perhaps more importantly Crash Bandicoot, won't be releasing until 2013. While there was plenty of talk surrounding the game at this years E3 with Sony promising it to be one of their best games yet, a release date never came to fruition during the conference. This could have seen as an indication that we weren't going to get it ths year. All of our speculations have been confirmed. Appearing on the Jimmy Fallon show, Naughty Dog confirmed the 2013 release window. Nothing more. We still don't have an exact date of release. The Last Of Us is a cinematic action game in the same vein as Uncharted. However unlike Uncharted you won't be shooting pirates in your quest for gold, you'll instead be treated to a lush post apocalyptic world where a fungus has turned the majority of people into plant-like zombie creatures who hunger for your flesh, even if you thought mushroom zombies would be herbivores. It promises to display an engaging narrative between it's central characters, as they confront the challenges and moral dilemmas that result from the fall of civilisation as we know it.
