Telltale Games announced that The Walking Dead Game is set to hit PC and Mac on April 24th. The saddest news is that, those awaiting the title on XBLA and PSN are left somewhat in the dark as to when they will be able to experience the game for themselves. Telltale Games stated that the console versions are set to release very shortly after. Hopefully, they don't mean sometime in mid-May. I can only see this hurting them with the release of both Max Payne 3 and Diablo 3 on May 15. Even with the lack of console release dates, those who will be able to play through with a mouse and keyboard have much to look forward to. Fans of the series should be in for a unique game experience that focuses not only on the gruesome reality of decaying corpses walking the Earth, but the psychological toll that a zombie apocalypse would truly have on humanity. The game makes you rely on split-second decisions that will affect your entire campaign. Spread across five episodes, each choice you make will lead you off onto a different path and can drastically alter your game experience. Lies can come back to haunt you. Characters you meet may possibly die based on the choices you make. Don't be surprised if those characters return in zombie form to take a chunk of your flesh. The goal the developers are trying to achieve is to emphasize that each zombie you kill was a human being and sometimes it's hard to kill someone you knew. We'll see how the game turns out next week. Be sure to check back soon for information on the console release dates.
