THQ Finally Has Good Financial News

Saints Row: The Third and UFC Undisputed 3 sales helping save THQ.

For the first time in a long time THQ had some good financial news to report today as opposed to the seemingly constant bad news that has been reported this year. Saints Row: The Third and UFC Undisputed 3 have posted better than expected sales numbers causing THQ to actually increase their expected net sales from $160 million to $170 million. This increase may not seem big but initially THQ was projecting only $130 million in revenue. According to THQ the reason for the increase was the better than expected sales of Saints Row: The Third, which has already shipped 4 million units. In addition, sales of UFC Undisputed 3 have been stronger than anticipated as well. On top of the increased sales expectations, Saints Row: The Third DLC has been selling better than expected as well. Finally THQ is actually going to finish the year with more cash than was expected; 76 million which according to reports is triple what was expected to be available. Hopefully THQ will be able to put together some more surprises and ride out all the mistakes of the past, because Volition is one of the most talented developers in the world and I really can't wait for another Saints Row game. Not to mention the creator of the Ninja Gaiden series Tomonobu Itagaki is working on a game called Devil's Third for THQ that looks like a lot of fun. Here is the trailer for those who haven't seen it yet: http://youtu.be/xzLaWbLZl24
