October 2011 will be a momentous month for gamers. Forget about Mass Effect 3 (which is currently slated as a Quarter 4 release), and the piddling matter of Gears of War 3 (September 20th- but who knows what delays might hit), the biggest cross-console game release that is Batman: Arkham City will obliterate all around it, and announce a new dawn for comic book tie-in games. Or at least it should. A new gameplay trailer has just gone live for the much anticipated follow-up to Batman: Arkham Asylum that streets October 18th on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC. There's no sound on the trailer but it still looks amazing... (unfortunately IGN have taken the video down to fix the sound problem, will be back up soon)...
Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City five times larger than the game world in Batman: Arkham Asylum and the new maximum security "home" for all of Gotham Citys thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new, all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight.
