IGN has been slowly releasing more and more confirmed names over recent weeks, having previously promised fans to expect the "biggest roster ever".

For this week's announcement, Corey Graves, Renee Young and former Universal Champion Kevin Owen unveiled the latest batch from inside the WWE ring.

Hall of Famers including Ricky Steamboat, Mick Foley, Rick Martel, Lex Luger and Mr Perfect were among those confirmed.

It has also been revealed that NXT favourites Akam and Rezar - collectively "The Authors of Pain" - will make their 2K debut.

Along with Neville, Finn Balor and Alexa Bliss, the duo's virtual counterparts are also shown in a series of tantalising still shots, which illustrate the dramatic improvements IGN has made to the game's graphics. Last month, creative developer Lynell Jinks said it would be "the best-looking wrestling game ever".

2K18, featuring Seth Rollins as the cover-star, will be released worldwide on 17 October, marking the first time in five years that a WWE title will be available on a Nintendo console - the Switch - as well as PlayStation and Xbox.
