So many people will find a particular genre of music and stick to it, not wanting to expand their horizons in fear of the cost of buying a new shelf of disks - or creating a new folder in iTunes. The term Hipster is thrown around a lot these days, and although I don't identify with the culture, I appreciate the motivation behind introducing people to new music, although I may ostracize those who look down on me for not having heard of a band that has only released three copies of their latest CD, which comprises of 8 songs, each of which is made up of the artist tapping saucepans with sticks of celery. Don't ask. Anyway, here are 10 bands that you may not have heard of (although some of their songs may be familiar to you). If you have heard of them, why not comment with your favorite song they have produced, or if you know of a band that I have not listed, feel free to tell me and I'll give them a listen. Unless their name is Celery Dogma. Again, don't ask.
Special Mention: Chameleon Circuit
Most fan bands remain content with performing at Comic Con and Youtube, but Chameleon Circuit really found their niche with the support of the Whovian community behind them, managing to do respectably well on the UK and US charts. Why you haven't heard of them: This group specializes in catering to a distinct few, with lyrics that only those savvy with the show may understand.
