Earlier this year, the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer and Will-Ferrell doppelganger, Chad Smith, announced that the band was set to record their new album this September... Thom Yorke came along. Yorke along with Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco and Chili Peppers own Flea joined forces to form the super group Atoms for Peace in 2009. Their debut album Amok was released this past February and the band wasted no time going on tour with dates scheduled through November. With Flea tearing it up on stage, Chili Peppers member Josh Klinghoffer predicted recording could possibly be delayed until early 2014. But while we may be stuck listening to same 11 albums for a little longer, Flea is continuing to have a kickass year - doing back-to-back tours with two different bands and even returning to the big screen in the movie Low Down. Set to release in 2014 Low Down is not Fleas first movie role or even his 5th. The Aussie-born bassist has been in movies for about as long as hes been in the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Some might recognize him as Douglas J. Needle in Parts II and III of Back to the Future. But if you dont want to dig your DVD collection, here are some of Fleas best cameos and appearances.
