Formerly 'Boom Chick', the Brooklyn Duo Crushed out are ready with their upcoming release. A debut, full-length album called 'Want To Give' which will ultimately be their second release since 'Show Pony' in 2010. As the 8 track EP done so well (hence their second album), we expect this album to do even better than the previous. Although with the name-change, their goals and gameplan have just kept on going full steam. Forming in 2009 and being able to produce an album in the following year is extremely good by anyones standards. Upon reading previous reviews and my previous statement saying how well that album actually done, there must be some kind of wizardry along the pipeline for these musicians to perform so well. Apparently lead singer Frank Hoier's father was a musician in the first white band to sign to Motown records. Eureka. Growing up knowing the business and his second-hand nature to a recording studio and music creation evidentially reflected on his own prospects of being able to create great music. An unfair advantage? Even if your jealous levels are high at this moment in time, if you have these facilities at your personal disposal, theres no doubt that youre going to use them. Anyhoo, lets get onto the music at hand. Due to a technical error with my streaming service and the limited amount of released songs as of this point in time, we only have Weigh You Down to look at, which is fine! Weigh You Done is the single from Want To Give, so listening to this song should give us a decent example of the bands recent accomplishments, overall style and what to expect from the upcoming album.
