10 Most Horrific Cannibal Killers Of All Time

Hannibal Lecter has nothing on these guys.

To kill a person in cold blood is a terrible thing, but to be capable of killing more than one simply to sate your own bloodlust is horrific on a scale that most will never even be able to comprehend. It must surely take a psychotic mindset that is not only capable of visualising such crimes but also more than willing to carry them out just to see what happens.

Even as awful as all of that is, there is a certain subsection of killers that have taken things that extra step further by committing the vile act of partaking in the flesh of the people that they have killed. It is a rare trait that makes these killings stand out as being particularly horrific and there is a special level of disgust that is reserved for such killers, who are seemingly unsatisfied with simply murdering their victims and apparently feel compelled to defile their corpses even more following the deed.

Couple that with the natural revulsion that most feel towards the very idea of cannibalism and you have a select group of killers who somehow managed to make their evil deeds even worse. Forget all of the Hollywood romanticism bestowed on the likes of Hannibal Lecter, as these killers are nothing more than heinous individuals.

10. Ilshat Kuzikov

In February of 1997 Ilshat Kuzikov was arrested in St Petersburg for the murder of three of his drinking buddies over the span of four years, starting in 1992 and ending in 1996.

After further details came to light it was later found that he had not only killed his friends but had also sampled their flesh. In fact, his cannibalism appeared to be the main motive for the killings, with Kuzikov stating that he would ask the friend over to his flat for a nightcap before stabbing them to death, eating parts of their body and then disposing of them in a garbage dump.

He had even developed a recipe for his uncommon tastes:

"First, you fry the meat in one saucepan in a little oil; liver is best. Then, in another pot, you fry onions. Put them together with either stock or water and simmer for half an hour."

It's a chillingly cold recipe that could only have come from the mind of a madman and so it was that Ilshat Kuzikov was found to be insane when he was brought to trial and he was sentenced to life in closed psychiatric confinement.
