You probably got a lot of detentions for blasphemy. Whether you were religious or not and the school was public or private, to you, it was just school. There is often a stigma associated with religious schools as being outdated and some are even worse than that, accusing the schools of brainwashing students, making them chant in the corridors and become a part of a religious cult. However, you know that this is all nonsense. It was pretty much the same routine and education that you found find in any other school except that you prayed in the morning, sang hymns in assembly, ate in restaurants named after religious events and read the bible every other day, if not every morning. Just because you know most verses that other kids who didn't go to a religious school isn't always a bad thing, and whether you're a devout Christian or prefer Catholicism or atheism, at least you have some respect for others and their religion. To you, your school was normal and it's a shame that you didn't realise at the time that you were actually living the best days of your life as unfortunately, school really was just that. You spent all day every day with your friends, having banter and occasionally had to sing a hymn. Being an adult is difficult in comparison and you'd probably welcome the homework and exams again, but the dissertation is a once in a lifetime achievement which doesn't need to be repeated. So if you went to a religious, God fearing school, there are a few things that you'll probably recognise and remember with fond memories.
