One of the most amazing things about this country is the fact that it probably has the weather in the world. In the summer, it's all about beautiful days spent outside in a sun that won't burn you (entirely) to a crisp and thunderstorms, which are a wonder to behold. In winter you won't be freezing your backside off either and those from colder parts like the United Kingdom or Canada will especially have fun wearing their shorts on days that South Africans consider freezing... (-5ÂșC is considered Arctic to Saffas). The people are also a wholehearted bunch: they're friendly, have a great sense of humour and are pretty much known for taking the mickey out of the government and making light of some really serious situations.
