Ah, the single life. Living it can really be rough, especially if you've been single for a long period of time. For some reason, it seems like people who don't have a special someone are often looked at as being incomplete, or having failed at accomplishing a major life goal. People start to wonder what exactly could be wrong with you, your parents keep asking when you're going to give them grandkids, and you always get dragged onto the dance floor at weddings to try and fight for flowers that don't even come from a significant other. Worst of all, at every holiday there's always that aunt or grandfather or mother's cousin's nephew that is required by law to ask, "So when are you going to get yourself a boyfriend?" Because, as every single person knows, it's as simple as running to the store and picking out a cut of meat. All in all, things can be a little disheartening. But the longer you're single, the more you might begin to realise that things aren't really as bad as they seem. In fact, being single can actually be one of the most rewarding and healthy experiences you'll ever undertake in your entire life. Hey, you even have your own theme song from Beyonce. So read on to discover why being single can actually be just as great (or better) as having someone call you "lovey dumpling pie" every day.
