NASA's JPL have released some breathtaking new additions to their "Visions of the Future" series in which they imagine what it would be like to holiday in space. From the beautiful auroras of Jupiter (viewed from hot air balloon on the gas giant) to the blood red forests of exoplanet, Kepler-186f, these vintage travel posters look like works of science fiction, but could actually become science fact for future generations. Sure, a couple of weeks on the Spanish coast is nice, but if someone could just cryogenically freeze us until package holidays to Jupiter are a thing, that would be great...
14. Jupiter - Like The Northern Lights, But 100x Better
"The Jovian cloudscape boasts the most spectacular light show in the solar system, with northern and southern lights to dazzle even the most jaded space traveler. Jupiter's auroras are hundreds of times more powerful than Earth's, and they form a glowing ring around each pole that's bigger than our home planet. Revolving outside this auroral oval are the glowing, electric footprints of Jupiter's three largest moons. NASA's Juno mission will observe Jupiter's auroras from above the polar regions, studying them in a way never before possible."
