Some blame him for his association with the extravagances of Roman Abramovich€™s Chelsea regime, which many see as the beginning of football€™s decline into money-driven frenzy. That€™s obviously unfair. But Terry is the only player in recent history to be stripped of the England captaincy twice. He€™s been the captain of Chelsea for 11 years, but he€™s proved himself to be a terrible role model in that time. Terry€™s courted controversy since his earliest days in the game. He started out with a reputation as a Jack-The-Lad, drinking, clubbing, and living the Life of Riley on his high wage-packet. And if that was the only blot on his copy book, then he€™d be a misunderstood pariah. But he isn€™t. And not only that but he€™s rarely shown any remorse for his actions. Terry€™s never completely moved on from his past. But he remains the captain of his club, and someone youngsters across the world look up to as a role model. His behaviour has rarely made him seem worthy of that mantle. These are the top 10 occasions on which Terry has shown himself to be completely undeserving of our admiration.
