7 Contenders For PFA Player Of The Year 2020 Prize

The unfortunate global climate has put football on a hold, as the Premier League is still left with 10 rounds of fixtures before drawing the 2019/20 season to a close.
We're certain that Liverpool will be crowned champions as they need only six points from the remaining games, but there's still plenty of issues that remain unanswered.
We still don't know which of Chelsea, Manchester United and Wolves will finish in the top four. We still don't know who's going to be relegated. We still don't know who's taking home the Golden Boot. And we still don't know who's going to be named the player of the year.
However, there have been a few players who have had a phenomenal year, and can consider themselves to be in the reckoning. Here we look at the top seven contenders for the PFA Player of the Year prize:
7. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Leicester City have packed a punch this season. They appear well-placed to finish inside the top four, against all the odds, and bring Champions League football back to the King Power stadium. However, none of this would have been possible if it wasn't for Jamie Vardy firing at all cylinders.
The 31-year old's hot streak has resulted in 19 goals so far, a tally that is currently second to none. And he's held the pole position on the scoring charts for several months now.
Like a fine wine, he's gotten better with age and continues to score for fun, resembling his rip-roaring self who devoured every defense en route to Leicester's improbable triumph in 2016.
Since then, he has always continued to feature amongst the top goal-scorers, but never really clinched the Premier League Golden Boot. This season appears to be his best opportunity yet to finally erase the anomaly, and also probably claim the player of the year prize along with it.
