The Metro, Wigan's Victor Moses has emerged as Wenger's number one target to take the England Euro 2012 winger's place in The Gunners side should the veteran French manager be forced to sell Walcott. For months, Walcott's future at Arsenal was said to hinge on whether Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie would commit to a long term extension at Arsenal. When the Dutch sensation and PFA Player of the Year announced last week that he would not be signing a new contract at the Emirates, Walcott's future at Arsenal is now looking increasingly uncertain. Arsene Wenger has been forced to draw up a shortlist of potential replacement for both players and is believed to have already sent scouts to watch back over tapes of Victor Moses. The 21-year-old Wigan winger has been linked with both Chelsea and Liverpool all summer, the former who have even had a bid rejected for the player but Moses has now caught the eye of the Gunners. Moses has made it clear he doesn€™t want to sign a new contract at the DW Stadium expressing his need for trophies. Arsenal in recent years have been seen as a selling club building up a stable financial structure although it is unclear how much money is available for the transfer window with the club already splashing out £24 million for Podolski and Giroud. It is unclear how much the club will offer Wigan, Chairman Dave Whelan has tried to upset any deal by placing a £12 million price tag on the young winger. Arsenal will only bid for the player if Walcott decides to leave, although a majority of the money from the potential sales of Walcott and Van Persie will be reinvested in Moses if the deal is right for both clubs.
