Manchester United travel to St Mary's this late afternoon in search of their first Premier League point away from home when they take on Southampton in the 4pm kick-of. The match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports 1. Here's the team news ahead of the game... Southampton's blockbuster new signings aren't likely to feature in today's match. Japan's Olympic captain defender Maya Yoshida won't feature as he is in his native contry to play in the upcoming World Cup qualifying internationals. Gaston Ramirez, a huge deadline day signing from Bologna, also won't feature as the home side were unable to get Premier League clearance for him to field today after his switch on Friday. Zambia forward Emmanuel Mayuka also signed this week but it is not expected that manager Nigel Adkins will select him today. Former Chelsea trainee Jack Cork remains a doubt for the game with an ankle knock. For Manchester United, Jonny Evans will return at the back after recovering from a summer ankle operation. He will partner Nemanja Vidic at the heat of the defence. Rio Ferdinand (groin), Phil Jones (back) have returned to training but the pre-match build-up suggested that they wouldn't be involved. England trio Wayne Rooney (thigh), Ashley Young (knee) and Chris Smalling (foot) are all ruled out.
