10 Anime Beatdowns We'll Never Forget
We're still recovering from these brutal anime beatdowns even years after.
Who doesn't love a good fight scene? There are few things as exhilarating as seeing characters going toe-to-toe making a bloody mess of each other. Fights that get your testosterone pumping and push you to the edge of your seat are never not enjoyable.
However, while live-action fights can be awesome, no medium does it better than anime. The possibilities offered by animation offer up countless ways for characters to clash.
Though, this isn't about clashing, this is about beating. Even more satisfying than a good fight scene is a good beatdown. Equal standing fights are great, but sometimes it's just nice to see a character get knocked into next year. Maybe it's just with one attack, a full-on flurry of hits, or a straight up massacre. Whatever the case may be, a beating is a beating.
To keep this list fresh, some genuinely great beatdowns might not be on here. That doesn't mean that they're lacking, but rather they've been excluded to make room for another more underrated one.
With all that done, it's time to get ready to rumble with some anime beatdowns that we'll never forget.
10. Baki Vs Muhammad Ali Jr. - Baki
Poor Muhammad Ali Jr.
After wanting nothing more than to fight Baki, even attempting to try and hook up with his girlfriend, Muhammad Ali Jr. finally gets his wish. Things don't turn out how he expect them to go, though, and he nearly ends up dead.
The guy doesn't even come close to landing a single blow. Baki shows no mercy during their fight, beating his opponent to a pulp. It's only due to the intervention of his father, Muhammad Ali, yes, that Muhammad Ali, that he doesn't die.
For Jr. their fight was personal, but for Baki, it was just another match. The only reason he was so relentless was because he knew just how powerful his challenger was, not wanting to take the chance of allowing him to get a hit in.
Something of interest in this fight is Baki himself. His cold, merciless demeanour is almost scary, especially when comparing him to his monster of a father, a man so cruel he killed his own wife and so mighty that he stopped a polar bear's heart with one punch.
It's clear that Baki had come a long way in the series, and his crushing of Muhammad Ali Jr. is a perfect showing of that.
