Dan Harmon's hilarious yet gruesome intergalactic adventure series is absolutely rammed with small details and background references waiting for audiences to discover. Like many animated shows, the series creators of Rick and Morty like to hide things for eagle-eyed viewers to cycle back to.

From gags, cameos and downright shocking moments, Rick and Morty has had numerous reasons for fans to pause their screens. The show is practically on par with the Marvel Cinematic Universe for its level of Easter eggs and references to pop culture.

Rick and Morty is definitely self-aware of how much its viewers like to freeze-frame certain moments, as shown by the sheer number of pause-worthy scenes seen throughout the show's four seasons so far.
