Let's be honest here- your friends are, at best, OK. They're pretty funny sometimes and they mostly remember your birthday and sure, one of them helped you moved once but you had to buy them a beer afterwards so it felt like less of a favour than it could have done. You probably wouldn't realise that they were subpar if you hadn't had the bar raised by the TV character who represented the pinnacle of friendship: Leslie Knope, the lead on the NBC sitcom Parks & Recreation. Parks was a show filled with heart and bursting with warmth and Leslie was at the centre of that. She is an impossible to live up to character, so rather than asking our friends to do so, let's look back at some of her most wonderful moments and just imagine she was in our life.
