But it's not all a laughing matter. Sometimes characters can return from the grave in seemingly imaginative and ingenious ways. With a healthy dose of mystery, the supernatural and most importantly of all, plausibility, character resurrections can be a thrilling shake up in the drama of any show. It doesn't matter if its a gritty crime drama or a show set on a space ship in another galaxy; like any story, a characters resurrection can be believable if its done respectfully and with style and flair. Its a reason Sara Tancredis return in Prison Break was silly. You cant show someones decapitated head and then next season explain it all away as a hoax.
