2013 was another exceptional year for scripted television. For every misfire or disappointment (the first season of Marvel's Agents of Shield, the last season of Dexter) there were multiple successes, like the first seasons of Netflix's House of Cards and Orange is the New Black, the return of Arrested Development, strong returns from Game of Thrones and Mad Men, and Breaking Bad's intense farewell. The quality of writing in television is at an all-time high, so let's look back at some of the best one-liners and devastating comments that helped make last year great. This is a relatively short list with only six lines in it, so a lot of quality television is necessarily being overlooked. Great comedies like Parks and Recreation, The League, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia didn't make the cut despite continuing to offer some of the best zingers on TV. If there are any lines that you feel were egregiously left out, let us know in the comments.
