Be warned right from the get-go there will be spoilers in this article for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. If you haven't seen the film yet, then do yourself a favour and watch it first it's one of the best Marvel films for years. Still here? Good. Captain America: The Winter Soldier has far-reaching implications for the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Agents of SHIELD will bear the brunt of these changes extremely soon. The next episode isn't broadcast in the United States until April 1st, and is ominously called End of the Beginning which is obviously a reference to the changes to be expected. The series itself is very SHIELD-heavy for obvious reasons, and there have been numerous other SHIELD agents appearing in a variety of episodes. With the changes that are bound to happen following the recent film, that seems set to change. Coulson's team are likely to find themselves out on their own very quickly without any SHIELD backup. This will have obvious implications for their future adventures, and given that the next Earth-bound MCU film isn't set to be released until May 1, 2015, then these changes are going to stick for the entire second season as well. Whatever happens, the second season of Agents of SHIELD is going to look quite different to the first. Firstly, they're going to have a hard time calling themselves "SHIELD", since that organisation no longer exists. Fortunately there can't be many viewers of the show who don't follow the events in the films and so the fans will be able to keep up with the changes. Potentially the writers could be planning to use the series to link The Winter Soldier with Age of Ultron. Read on to see eight things that can be expected to happen in Agents of SHIELD as a result of the latest adventure of Captain America.
