Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a show made up of amazing characters, most of which are supernaturally strong and seriously intimidating.

With its focus on vampires, superhuman warriors, werewolves, witches and everything in-between, Buffy is not a show short of people who know how to handle themselves. Across the show, Buffy and the Scooby Gang have come against just about everything its possible to face, and through their adventures they all grew massively as people, and as fighters.

Whether they're evil or good, a mixture of both, a human or a demon, the following list is going to take a look at which of the cult classic show's main characters are its strongest.

Interestingly enough, it must be said that none of Buffy's main players are in any way weak, as some value emotional and mental strength over their physicality, but for this list focus is going to be put on the whole package - how good they are in a fight, how in control of their emotions and powers they are, and how much they accomplished over the course of the show.

Spoilers within.

12. Cordelia Chase

Though she was given the chance to shine more on Buffy's moody spin-off, Angel, Queen C (Charisma Carpenter) still had some solid stand-out moments on the original show. Sassy, confrontational and endlessly confident, her strength came from intimidation, which is best seen in Season 3's Homecoming, where she shuts down a vicious vampire and causes him to run away terrified.

However, despite dusting a couple vampires here and there, Cordelia is the bottom of the pile when it comes to overall strength, avoiding most major physical confrontations throughout her run.

As already stated, she found her footing on Angel, but with Buffy she was always just the high school mean girl who didn't want anything to do with Sunnydale's dangerous underworld.
